Skin Cancer

Chemical Realted Skin Cancer

Our skin can be exposed to substances that contact it in gas or liquid form.  All too often, a worker may be exposed to cancer-causing agents that contact his skin, and the industry where he worked neglected to warn him or to provide adequate skin protection.  Much depends on the specific facts and so you are advised to contact an experienced lawyer for legal advice on your situation.

Here is a checklist of industries and kinds of work where skin cancers have been reported:

  • Work around coal tar, coal tar pitch, soot
  • Coal gasification, coke ovens, coke production
  • Paving and roofing
  • Aluminum production
  • Work with mineral oils, shale oils
